I’m currently removing Office 2007 from my machines. The pretty “ribbons” are, well, pretty… but it does not help with my productivity.
The last straw was when I was attempting to copy a workbook sheet to a new workbook, and it lost all the spacing and formatting. Is it so much to ask that the spacing be the same? I wouldn’t be using a spreadsheet in the first place if I didn’t want the spacing to be specific.
Outlook also doesn’t work with Cisco Meetingplace, which is a requirement for setting up (duh) meetings via email and making it pretty much as idiot proof as possible for online training, etc.
It’s all very pretty. I don’t want pretty, I want functional.
