I finally dropped off to sleep around 12am since I’m on call. I get the page at around 2am that the temp is spiking in the server room. Since then, I have been awake. 20 or so more pages, a few panicked phone calls to get everything back in order, a trip into work, and a trip back home 4 hours later.
Thank god for no traffic. Even better, today is the bosses day to drive.
I only mumbled a little bit, and said nonsensical things a few times, so nothing too out of the ordinary for the co-workers. Or maybe so, since I got invited to use the lounge (with couch) to take a nap if I really needed it. But never mind that, focus on the important! I am allowed to sleep on the job!
Have I mentioned that I love this place? Yeah.
